Our guide Mark gave the most memorable experience, his knowledge about birds, plants, animals and anything to do with the National Parks was outstanding. Nothing is too much trouble, he looked after our every need and went over and above our expectations. We wouldn’t hesitate to book with this company again and highly recommend them.

We had a wonderful birding tour with our guide, Mark. We were so glad to have Mark as our guide in this private tour. Mark was a very experienced naturalist; he was very friendly, kind and went above and beyond to meet our needs. We saw so many spices of birds and other wildlife. Wish we had more time in Cape Town so we can do more birding with Mark.

Mark Hawthorne, our guide, is the most skilled birding and flora guide we have ever met. He took us to unusual spots to see birds we had never seen including the hatching of two paradise flycatcher fledglings! From penguins and flamingos to many more much rarer species, Mark filled our day with amazing facts and stories about the delicate interrelationships in nature. We learned to see and feel our world in a new way that will last long after this trip. We saw the almost invisible Arum Lily Reed Frog. He has a deep knowledge of the history of the area and has worked with people from around the world. And…he knew where to find the best Cape milk tarts. Don’t miss this trip!
